This has been last gig and has been great to improve my vote on 2007 rototom sunsplash festival ;)
shaggy on stage has been amazing and his band too, great musicians, great vibes, good energy, great Shaggy as musician, singer, dancer and funny boy ^_^ Mr Lova Lova on stage, "Boombastic", riff of Peter Gunn song produced by Prince Buster "Oh Carolina" then "Rivers of Babylon", "Summertime", "Angel", "Streght of a woman", "It wasnt me", "Oh sexy lady" and all da people ready to party with Shaggy and the band and Rayvon, who has began the show and has duet with Shaggy as well. Un grandissimo show che ha risollevato questa quattordicesima edizione di questo grande festival europeo, sempre più grande con sempre più gente che arriva in massa anche da fuori Italia. Anno dopo anno sempre più numerosi. La chiusura del festival non poteva essere migliore, le canzoni di Shaggy un fuoco d'artificio dietro l'altro. In piena forma Mr Lova Lova sul placo in giacca, cravatta e capellino e vai con "Boombastic", il riff di Peter Gunn song prodotta da Prince Buster "Oh Carolina" then "Rivers of Babylon", "Summertime", "Angel", "Streght of a woman", "Broadway", "Stand up and fight", Church Heathen", "It wasnt me", "Oh sexy lady". Un episodio particolare quando a Shaggy è arrivata acqua lanciata dalle primissime fila in piena faccia, grandissimo ha avuto un attimo di smarrimento incazato ma poi ha sorriso diavoletto e si è preso una bottiglietta d'acqua delle sue e l'ha buttata a pioggia sulle prime file!!! che mito ^_^ poi vi posso raccontare che aveva due rosari attorno al collo e anelloni con diamanti ma eccovi un pò di foto...ciaooo

Ziggy è arrivato e hanno chiesto di non fumare durante la conferenza e troppa security..sob has been a mistical press conference as son of Bob Marley was there, I guess for lots of people the spirit of Bob Marley has been there too. Ziggy felt everything good at Rototom, good people, good vibes. He doesnt make plans about future or music. what happens happens. He likes to try working on hip hop, reggae, pop no matter what but music. Music is big and reggae music is growing and growing, influencing lots of, people, touching hearts. Reggae music is like a tree, grows and makes fruits and seeds and then new trees grow!! A very beautiful and very important thing told by Ziggy is that is not important being a conscius artist but first we got to be human beings, good persons, non è importante l'essere un artista conscious ma prima di tutto bisogna essere esseri umani, persone buone!!! questo potrebbe essere un suggerimento per la scelta del tema per il prossimo anno del rototom sunsplash.

Show Zion Train featurng Raiz, Y.T. (artist well known by remake of “Badman Story” by Cham, changed in “England Story”) and Marlene Johnson. Show has not been rehearsed that much mayb twice or just few more times. It's alla about improvisation and it's all political action. Tecno is a political action too. Lots of '90s tecno was very positive.. message was "more peace more love", told Neil Perch, so as this is our best reggae festival in Europe we decided to end show with tecnovibes. We love to come here listen to music played loud and smoke a spliff.
Our live show is different from CD. Improvisation is an important part in our live gigs.

ieri jah mason ziggy marley e toure kunda
ciao ieri m'è piaciuto molto Jah Mason, Ziggy m'ha deluso e Toure Kunda non è proprio il mio genere^_^
Ziggy ha deluso parecchia gente, troppo piatto e poi ha fatto troppe canzoni dei wailers e poche delle sue..peccato
stasera Groundation che hanno appena terminato un bel concerto pulito, più tardi tanya Stephens e a terminare er mitico SHAGGY che già nel sound check sè fatto benvolere tanto son bravi e ci stava pure Rayvon secondo me sarà un bello show definitely

è arrivato anche Shaggy
inutile dire quanto siamo emozionati Ziggy Marley e Shaggy sono in giro nel backstage. Berretto nero con visiera, e pantaloni alla pescatora Shaggy sembra perfettamente a suo agio tra chi sta lavorando nel backstage. Accanto a lui Ziggy Marley con in braccio il figlioletto di sei mesi incuriosito divertito dall’andirivieni del back stage.

 FamaraUn artista che arriva dalla Svizzera ma che ha l’Africa nel sangue. Muove i suoi primi passi come percussionista per poi passare dietro al microfono con i suoi pezzi in stile raggamuffin. Ha tenuto numerosi concerti in Senegal, Mali e soprattutto in Gambia dove ha partecipato al concerto indetto per il Giorno dell’Indipendenza, raccogliendo ottimi consensi dalla stampa locale. Ha condiviso il palco con personaggi del calibro di Youssou N'Dour and Tiken Jah Fakoly e si presenta qui col suo nuovo album Double Culture. |
 Jah Mason & Fever Alarm BandViene da Manchester, quella in Giamaica però, e inizialmente si faceva chiamare Perry Mason, nomignolo che gli era stato affibbiato grazie all’abilità di argomentare che aveva sin da bambino. Il suo singolo d’esordio, Selassie I Call We, è uscito per l’etichetta di Junior Reid, già componente dei Black Uhuru. Passato poi alla stessa etichetta di Capleton, si è avvicinato al lato conscious del reggae entrando anche nella comunità dei Bobo Ashanti. Del 2006 i suoi due ultimi lavori: Princess Gone... The Saga Bed e soprattutto Wheat And Tear. |
 Toure KundaIl gruppo formatosi attorno ai fratelli Ismaila e Sixu Kunda è originario del Senegal e residente a Parigi. Un progetto nato con l’obiettivo di integrare la tradizione musicale africana con l’utilizzo di chitarre elettriche e sintetizzatori, e che ha creato attorno a sé un movimento di nuovi gruppi che ne seguono la scia. La notorietà arriva a metà degli anni Ottanta dove vengono riconosciuti come uno degli act di world music più popolari del mondo ed hanno grande successo attraverso lavori come 'Sili beto’ e ‘Congres sounke’, arrivando anche a collaborare con Santana nell’eterogeneo album Supernatural. |

israel vibrations
Oggi concerto degli Israel Vibration recuperato alle 13,00 in punto e sotto il palco si è radunata la folla delle grandi occasioni, un po’ assonnata certamente, ma che per niente al mondo avrebbe mancato dall'assistere ad uno dei concerti più attesi. Per omaggiare una storia speciale di un gruppo e la sua diversa abilità.

è Anthony B on stage a Osoppo...burn da police;) higher meditation..bretren is bretren sistren is a sistren..yahman 'stasera Anthony B è nella serata giusta e l'energia è tanta come le vibes che arrivano dal palco e dal pubblico presente. Lui salta, corre e balla senza fermarsi proponendo un sacco di hits fino all'immancabile, bellissima, strepitosa Police, uno dei suoi brani più apprezzati!! gli Israel Vibrations putroppo non sono arrivati e così Anthony B ci concede molti bis. A chiudere la serata Jah Shaka alla dancehall area...ma io aspetto venerdì e sabato Ziggy e Shaggy, che prima di arrivare a Osoppo andranno a farsi una due giorni in giro per Venezia!!!
